I'll give you 4 to 7 inches...

Yeah...the forecast called for 4 to 7 inches. When I snapped this picture we had 8. Ended up with around 9 inches at my house. So many inappropriate comments I can make...but I won't.

There are a lot of these signs on the WSU campus. Massive budget cuts here at WSU have led to this. The state government has asked WSU to cut back on spending and one way they are doing this is to limit the amount of snow removal there will be. I have no solution to the money problem (maybe a state income tax? There is some logic for ya). However, this really makes some of the idiots over at UW who want the state to help finance a new football stadium look foolish. WSU has done a lot of work on their stadium the past few years...all at the expense of donors and student fees (not at the cost of the state's budget). Does an 0-12 football team really need a new football stadium? I digress...

I love this heart on campus. A lot of people hate it. I think it's fantastic. It makes people think and talk about art. I think art should invoke some type of response. This heart does. I believe the artists name is Jim Dine and the piece is "Technicolor Heart".

Driving over to Moscow this morning. The fog rolled in as soon as it stopped snowing. Visibility was less than a quarter mile at times.

My sidewalk. A lot of drifting happened last night.

Remember my grill? I don't. I received some really nice filet mignon steaks for Christmas. Little did I know I'd have to dig my damn grill out to eat them. Scroll down below for what the grill looked like just a few short days ago...
The snow pile. It is bigger than at any point last year. It's huge, and I made it all myself.

January 2, 2009 - update

The snow pile grew a lot today. My back is cashed. It was nearly two hours of shoveling. All the snow was wet and slushy. Now the street is an ice rink. I don't skate.

Hell, I don't do much...just complain a lot...about everything...

January 2, 2009 - The winter of my discontent

It started snowing around 12:30 a.m. this morning. Awful, heavy, wet snow. Boo! That's all I can really say. Pullman was hammered *again*. Roads are closed around here. I'd type more but I'm off the trash my back by shoveling another 6+ inches of snow.

Enjoy the pics...It's so "beautiful".

January 1, 2009

Is there hope? Is all this snow going to melt away with the rain that is coming in? I awoke to the new year with about 3 or 4 inches of heavy wet snow. Later in the day it started raining. And raining hard...

The snow pile grew and may have shrunk all in the same day, which is a good thing, right?

The snow is almost all gone from the grill. Maybe I should use it.
