February 17, 2008

Yesterday turned into a beautiful day and a lot of snow and ice in the area melted away. This morning we awoke to a lot of fog. The fog really did not clear until the late afternoon and it kept it pretty cool. The ice from the base of the melting snow pile usually turns to water every day. Not today though it was ice all day.

I must say that the snow pile has entered that really ugly stage. It's crusty and dark with all the basalt and other crap that is on the rodeway clinging on to it. No biggie for me though...'cause it's leaving...but not soon enough.
You can notice that the neigbor's car is finally free of snow. You can see the progression of this if you look at all the pictures. That car has not moved since late November. I guess snow really freaks them out which is strange to me since a little front-wheel drive car with some studded snow tires on it is actually a great way to travel in snowy Pullman.
